How did it all get started? When Jill Konrath, CEO of the initiative, started seeing her friends and family lose their jobs through no fault of their own, she decided to take action. After 20+ years as a business consultant, she'd mastered the ability to create jobs/projects out of thin air - even when there was no money in the budget. She also was acutely aware that the traditional job search model was grossly outdated and fatally flawed.

What started out as a plan to write a short ebook soon blossomed into much more when Jill was joined by Jeff Ogden, an out-of-work sales executive who also cared enough to make a difference. Soon other professionals and companies offered their support as well, thus ensuring the viability of this website and upcoming programming.

Jill is the driver of the Get Back to Work Faster initiative & author of Get Back to Work Faster. She's also an internationally-recognized sales strategist, author of bestselling book, Selling to Big Companies (a Fortune "must read" selection) and an in-demand speaker at annual sales meetings, professional conferences and industry events.

She helps salespeople, entrepreneurs and consultants crack into corporate accounts, create demand for their products/services and win big contracts.

Jill first started coaching people on job creation strategies over 25 years ago and has been practicing them herself ever since - doing work she loves in companies that she wants to work for. Over the years, she’s turned down many lucrative job offers, preferring to run her own business.

As a thought leader in the selling and marketing arena, Jill also publishes an industry-leading newsletter with nearly 30,000 subscribers from around the world. In addition, she's launched a number of initiatives in the past few years:

Jill and her husband Fred share their home in White Bear Lake, Minnesota with Cali, the cat. Their daughter Katie just landed a job in Switzerland. Ryan, a senior at the University of North Dakota majoring in aviation, also is the starting wide receiver on the football team.

Meet Jeff Ogden, the job seeker profiled in Get Back to Work Faster

Jeff is an experienced, innovative sales/marketing leader. He's the author of the popular white paper "Finding New Customers: The Definitive Guide to Driving Demand for your Company's Products and Services."

As a sales leader in the software industry, Jeff ran the global account team for a major client. Revenue grew by 242% in a single year, while completely shutting out competition. He also headed global sales and marketing for a UK firm, tranforming them into 14th fastest growing company in Great Britain. In his spare time, Jeff coaches Little League Baseball and hangs out with his wife and their three boys.
